My academic and professional work focuses on
Western water resources and the interface between science and policy.
Before returning to the PhD program at ERG, I worked as a science-policy
analyst and writer at the
CALFED Science
Program. My projects involved communication of recent
science to resource managers and policymakers through writing, editing
and production
of science reports, as well as analysis of science activity across
CALFED.
I have also worked with Dr. Peter Gleick at the Pacific
Institute.
We wrote about policy implications of climate change in
California water, collaborated on a review of climate change literature and
analyzed the global distribution of scientific information about climate
and
water.
Previous to this, I worked with Professor Stuart Rojstazer on a synthesis
of
paleohydrology
data at
Stanford University.
My other work experience includes technical writing, software consulting,
and work as an educator.
